The Consul General

THE CONSUL GENERAL OF GHANA IN GUANGZHOU

H.E Peter Mana Owusu is a career diplomatic who joined the Ghana Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in 2002. Prior to his appointment as the Consul General of the Consulate-General of Ghana in Guangzhou, China, he served as Minister and Acting Head of Mission at the Ghana Embassy in Prague, Czech Republic from August, 2020 to August 2021.

The Consul General also served in various capacities including the Deputy Director at the State Protocol Department, Deputy Director at the Policy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Head of Chancery and Deputy Head of Mission at the Ghana Embassy in Paris, France. He has also held similar positions at the Embassies of Ghana in the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Liberia.

H.E Peter Manu Owusu having worked at the Land Valuation Board in the Republic Ghana, has a rich background as a valuer. Preceding his career as a diplomat, the Consul General served as a senior police officer in the Ghana Police Service.

H.E Peter Manu Owusu holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Ghana, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from the Police Staff College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Land Economy from the University of Science and Technology.

The Consul-General is an analytical problem solver and a team builder.
